How do I connect the flipper to the motorcycle's electrical system?
The flipper is easily connected to the motorcycle's 12V battery using the included cables and connectors according to the manual instructions. Then, a cable is connected either to the tail light or the license plate light’s positive wire so the system is only active when needed to minimize power consumption. You can also install a switch between the cable and the positive pole. Everything is well documented.
Can I repair it myself?
No, you cannot. If there is a fault, please contact us and we will find a solution.
Is the flipper adjustable?
Yes, it is. You can easily adjust the start and stop angles (visible/hidden) for the servo via the button.
Are there different color options for the flipper?
Yes, the flipper comes in two colors. The standard is black, but grey is available as an option. This is selected under "Other" when ordering.
Will the flipper drain my battery?
No. The power consumption is very low, only about 50 mA in standby (when ignition is on and controlled via the light).
Where can it be mounted?
The motor can be mounted under the rear part or directly on the existing license plate holder (see our suggestions at the bottom of the home page).
Are spare parts available for purchase?
Yes, we offer spare parts such as motor, control box, and buttons via our customer service.
How much does the flipper weigh?
The entire system weighs about 340 grams.
Is it waterproof?
The motor is waterproof (IP65) and the control box is water-resistant.
How do I know what position the license plate is in?
When the flipper is in the hidden position, the LED light on the button is lit.
Is the installation permanent or can it be removed?
The installation is easy to remove without damaging the motorcycle or license plate.
What is the servo motor's range of motion?
The servo motor has a range of motion up to 180 degrees, allowing you to adjust the license plate to the desired position.
Can the flipper be controlled via a mobile app?
Yes, you can purchase a Bluetooth module for 200 SEK that allows control of the flipper via an Android app. This add-on is purchased after the initial order.
Is the flipper legal to use?
We take no legal responsibility for any consequences from using the system. Our recommendation is to use the flipper only for demonstration purposes and not in traffic.
Will the flipper fit my motorcycle?
Yes, it fits most motorcycles that have a stable 12V battery.
What is the delivery time?
If all parts are in stock, the delivery time is usually 10 working days within Sweden. This may increase if some parts are out of stock, as the system is built after the customer orders.
Does the license plate light turn on and off when flipped?
Yes, the license plate light can be controlled depending on the plate’s position.
How long does installation take?
Installation usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes depending on your experience and motorcycle model.
If I don’t have a stable 12V battery, can I still use the system?
Unfortunately not, the system requires a stable 12V battery.
Are special tools required for installation?
No, no special tools are needed. Regular screwdrivers are sufficient.
Can I choose my own button?
Yes, when purchasing the system you can ask which type of button you want. There is also an option for a “Custom button”.
Can I get longer cables?
Yes, write a comment under "Other" when ordering the system.
How much force can the servo handle?
It is a 25 kg servo that can handle 25 kg at the servo arm. You cannot manually fold it when the system is on.
Does it remember its position?
Yes, after the bike is turned off and on again it remembers its position. It doesn’t matter if it’s hours or months later.
Can magnets be used to hold it in the flipped-up position?
Absolutely, we also recommend applying magnets in the flipped-up position to reduce vibrations on the servo. (Important to set the servo so it doesn’t work against itself).
